Through learning magic, students gain far more than an understanding of trick methodology. They embark on a journey of personal development, building effective communication skills, learning to present ideas with confidence, forming positive habits that support their goals, and developing both self-belief and the resilience needed to grow and succeed.
Our Story
Speranza Academy was founded by award-winning professional magician Francesco Mattiello (FMattiello Magic) , recognised as one of the finest in the region, with a deep passion for personal development, particularly in young people.
Drawing on his previous career as a youth worker, he began using magic as a tool to engage and inspire, quickly seeing the positive impact it had on confidence, communication, and self-belief. From this, Speranza Academy was created.
The word 'Speranza' comes from ‘hope’ in Italian, and this sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every young person has the potential to grow, succeed, and become the best version of themselves.
Whether working with Key Stage 2 pupils, secondary school students, or those in further and higher education, we bring the passion, expertise and proven approach needed to help learners develop essential life skills, supporting them to thrive both in education and beyond.
